This occasional class on rapid-prototyping of rapid-prototyping machines has involved a number of CBA collaborators:
- Drs. Andreas Mershin and Shuguang Zhang are organizers of the Molecular Frontiers Symposium and Prize at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm May 29-30:
- Prof. Gershenfeld will speak about the future of the Internet at the World Science Festival in New York City June 2:
and about the connection between computation and fabrication for the anniversary of Cornell's nanofabrication facility July 19:
- Planning is proceeding for FAB8, the Eighth International Fab Lab Forum and Symposium on Digital Fabrication, to be held in Wellington, New Zealand August 22-28. Schedule, registration, and accommodation information will be posted at:
- CBA launched a fab lab in Moscow with Russian collaborators in April. This will be the flagship for a planned national network:
- A CBA team is now in Northern Ireland to open two fab labs there, funded by the Special European Programmes Body (SEUPB) PEACE III Programme:
- CBA alum Manu Prakash has won an award for his work on affordable multi-modal oral imaging:
